Intensive Care Unit
Patients admitted to the ICU units are those that have cardiac,respiratory or hepatic diseases who need to be cardiologically monitored and have a need for high concentrations of oxygen.
Besides, patients who require supervision after major surgery will also be admitted here. The ICU Unit at Clínica Magallanes has six private rooms with 16 square meters of volume each and are implemented with state of the art equipment which has recently been purchased.
It also counts with a multidisciplinary and highly qualified team composed by general practice physicians, cardiologists, anesthesiologists and specialized critical patient nurses and auxiliary pesonnel trained in the management of special equipment and patient care.
Our ICU Unit provides professional attention 24 hours a day and also gives support to the family members of the patients.
